Friends, can you please keep my eldest daughter Claire in your thoughts and prayers, she was rushed into hospital today with a very high temperature of 40.8  This is the one who is on dialysis and has had a really rough 7 weeks with things going wrong. They think this is an infection in her dialysis chest line she is in high dependency and is really a poorly lass. Thank you both. It was an infection in her dialysis line, apparently the bug she has only 50% of people have it and it got into her blood, she is out of High Dependency and is feeling a lot better, she will get a new line in tomorrow and will hopefully get home then. On another note, my eldest son Duncan was admitted late last night with the winter vomiting bug although he is in the same hospital as Claire he is in another part of the hospital so I'm shattered with running between the two of them. Poor Claire is still in hospital and will be for another 10 days at least. They are giving her antibiotics thru a IV as one of the 2 bugs she has is very dangerous, it could damage the valve of the heart. She is so down at the moment

She is still in hospital but on the mend, hopefully will get home end of this week. She did get out for a few hours on Sunday which cheered her up a bit, waiting to hear if I can take her out to bingo with me tonight.
She looks like a battered woman, her arm is covered in bruises from where they put a picc line in to administer her antibiotics and take blood from her, also from the fragmin injections she is getting every night, she is on a higher dose than the rest of the patients so it tends to bleed a bit then bruise.
She was also started on Warfarin(rat posion) to thin her blood as it is thick and keeps clotting when she is on dialysis, so hopefully that will help
